So, I wanted a website for my first venture. I spend 4 days Googling web design agencies from where I can get my website done.
Those efforts got wasted as I didn’t find anyone who can do it within my budget. But then I got an idea. I talked to a friend, who knew someone, who knew some person who does all the website development work.
He quotes me the price which was a bit low then the market price. I sealed the deal and my website was up within 15 days.
This is a lesson for all the people out there who are willing to launch a business or want to be successful in life.
Social networking is one thing that our generation took in the wrong manner.
Problem with this generation is that we don’t network with people for the sake of helping them. We network because we want their help.
Well, to get something, you first need to give.
Give. Give. Give. And then take what you need.
This is a simple concept which people don’t really understand. Network with people to help them. Network with people to grow yourself.
It is wise to learn from your mistakes, but it is even wiser to learn from the mistakes of others.
One hour of communication with an intellectual person I worth reading 10 books.
When you connect with people, you are giving them something that they cannot return: Your time.
When you give someone your time, they will respect you, and the successful people value their time and their network of people.
What is the point of being a social animal, if you do not take time to cultivate that relationship?
Leaving you on two quotes to ponder upon.
“Treat each event you attend and each person that you meet as if it were an appointment with your one of your best clients — even if you are meeting that person for the very first time.” ~Timothy M. Houston
“You can have everything you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want out of life.” ~Jim Rohn
